Talk to the Roads

I've never been keen enough

To realize how lonely the nights can be

The roads are silent

Were it not for the screeching of tires

They would have been dead silent!

We use 'em and our only appreciation

Is to let 'em stay the night in the cold

Shouldn't we fold 'em and with 'em go to our homes?

I've never been keen enough

To realize that the roads don't even care of the loneliness

B'coz their purpose is to be just present

And wait to be run over

By anything that can move

But if they don't care, why do they get angry at us?

Why do they roll our vehicles and take innocent lives?

We will soon ask God to give us wings

And they will be no longer of interest to us

Someone please talk to the roads !
